Almost Nothing Prepared!

So here I am, beginning this journal of my journeys. I leave in two days and I have just barely purchased my ticket a few days ago. I am glad that I did it then, because afterward I would have paid a lot more. The cheapest round trip flight to Rome from Los Angeles was $727.00! What a deal! But you know what? I didn't buy that one. Instead, I bought one for $815.00. The reason is because the cheapest flight left at about 6:30 in the morning. The first fruits of my day are offered to God by attending mass in the mornings. The first mass is at 6:15 in the morning. So I decided to catch the next flight out which leaves at about 8:30am. Since I am not scheduled to arrive in Rome until 19 hours later, I would have missed mass if I had not taken the 8:30 flight. I still haven't figured out yet how I am going to get from Rome to Graz in Austria. I have to be there two days later. But I figured that I would explore Italy a little on the way, and maybe give the Pope a little visit. I think he's expecting me.

Anyway, I am really hoping to visit Francesco and Pamela in Sicily and Manuel in Spain, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there. So from Rome to Graz, from Graz to Venice then off to Slovenia, then to Brussels to visit the European Union. All of this is part of completing my Post-Graduate work at St.Mary's. Then I am off to France to visit Edouard and Gladys, and who knows, maybe even visit Father Vasyl's family in Romania. If time permits, I want to see Mauricio and Luciana in Dublin and Vartan's brother in Venice.

And still I have not decided if I going to take Eurorail or Ryan Air between countries. Ryan Air is cheaper and faster, but I cannot always get the connections I need. Anyway, I'll see what happens.

Well, I better start doing something...like packing or something like that. I still have to wash my clothes before I leave and tomorrow is going to be a very busy day for me. I'll write something else a little bit later.

Un abrazo,
Juan David
